One of the
goals of the Division of Fire and Building Safety is to provide
a quality education program that will assist all Code Officials
within the State of Indiana in becoming more successful in their
chosen profession. By offering economical and accessible
educational opportunities, DFBS strives to foster career
development, promote national certification and offer the
citizens of Indiana true and consistent statewide Codes.
Code Officials
are 100% grant eligible in accordance with 675 IAC 12-11,
(FREE).
To register:
each Code Official must complete the” Building/Fire Code, Grant
Application
Form”,

and must
have on file with the division a current “Education Plan”,
http://www.in.gov/dhs/files/EDUCATION_PLAN__021709.doc
.
There is a fee
of $100.00 per class for all other interested individuals. To
register: each individual must complete the “Building/Fire Code
Education form”,
