ite how old are you? dont think you will get a bad reaction from your parents. Unless you are going to quit piano then they should be happy you are expanding your musical range of knowledge and talent. i reccomend u get something like a cheap ibanez srg 180. They cost about £100 and they are just brilliant for starters. If you dont play anything similar, banjo guitar ukulele or anything then i think you should get lessons. Remember though, u have to have a love for bass, if you play boring,

It's not a Sadowsky, it's a Yamaha BB-G5A. Yamaha do make great basses, but as this guy ably demonstrates you don't need fancy expensive gear if you've got talent.
