ICC Class - 2012 IBC Fire and Smoke Protection Features w/ Indiana Amendments

This seminar addresses the critical concepts of the 2012 International Building Code® (IBC®) regarding Chapter 7, Fire and Smoke Protection Features. These concepts provide a basis for the analysis and identification of which components require fire-resistance ratings; where the fire-resistance-rated construction is required in building construction; where smoke-resistant construction is mandated; and the use of fire door assemblies, fire window assemblies, penetration firestop systems, fire dampers and smoke dampers. This course will include Indiana amendments.

Registration with FIAI prior to the date of the class is required in order to obtain CEUs from ICC.

Instructor Terrell Stripling - Terrell was the ICC 2009 Code Educator of the Year and has been an instructor and code analyst with ICC since 1999. Prior to that he served as a Fire Protection Specialist with the Corpus Christi Fire Department. Terrell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in fire protection engineering technology from Oklahoma State University.
