David Thompson, Corporate Director of Engineered Systems, Koorsen Fire & Security

David has been in the life safety world since 1997. Starting with Simplex he has worked for JCI (prior to Simplex acquisition) spending a few years with a small life safety company in Evansville, IN. He began his time with Koorsen Fire and Security in 2004 until 2016 doing System Sales including Security, Fire Suppression (Clean Agent) Security, Access Control CCTV, and Sound / Intercom. In 2016 David went to Honeywell as a Regional Manager for the Midwest managing Gamewell FCI Fire Alarm. In 2019 Honeywell tasked him as Nation Business Development for the new BDA product line they introduced and he was in that role until coming back to Koorsen in November 2021 to help grow the BDA business and manage overall Fire Alarm sales.

Chris White, Service Manager Corporate Suppression, Koorsen Fire & Security

Chris began his career with Koorsen Fire & Security as a fire alarm technician in 1996 before transitioning to clean agent technical duties in 1998. In 2004, he was promoted to Corporate Trainer for Clean Agent Systems and also has a couple years of experience in a Clean Agent technical support role with Corporate Engineering. Chris is now the Operations Manager for the Corporate Suppression Group. This group performs inspections, testing, and service in all of the Koorsen companies. Chris is NICET Level II certified in Special Hazards, has the Level IV certification from FSSA (Fire Suppression Systems Association), Level III in Enclosure Integrity, and has an Associates Degree from Purdue in Fire Science.

JD Burden, Sprinkler Operations Manager, Koorsen Fire & Security

JD has been in the fire protection industry for over 20 years. He joined Koorsen Fire & Security as a System Service Technician in 2003 servicing restaurant and sprinkler systems. In 2004 he became the Systems Service Manager taking responsibility for all sprinkler, backflow, and fire pump service and repair. He was also responsible for the design and installation of restaurant suppression systems, assisted in CAD drawings, and helped service technicians. Today he trains Koorsen associates on Sprinkler System Inspection and Repairs, and a variety of other topics in addition to providing technical support as needed. JD is NICET Level I certified in Special Hazards and Water-Based Systems Layout and NICET Level III certified in Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems. He graduated from Oklahoma State University's Fire Pump, Inspection, & Testing School, is certified in Ansul Foam Fire Fighting Systems and Backflow Inspector, and is an Emerging Leader graduate.
